Heesemann's rotating planetary sanding unit incorporates sanding discs for the purpose of smoothing the work surface, breaking edges, seal sanding and texturing. This head includes:

·         10 driven discs with quick changing device

·         Rotation in both directions

·         Central height adjustment

·         7.5 kW (10 Hp) motor to power the discs

·         1.5 kW (2 Hp) motor gear box

·         Brush trimming:           Flex Trim

Press-on Rollers Before and after Sanding Heads

A 50 mm roller at the infeed and outfeed of the sanding head helps to hold down workpieces – particularly parts with very little surface area (i.e. face frames)

·         spring loaded and adjustable

·         Distance between rollers approx.. 500mm (20”)

Workpiece Blasting Device

Rotating compressed air nozzles for blasting workpiece surface. Operate only if a workpiece is present to preserve compressed air. Keeps the conveyor belt clean and helps clean dust out of profiled surfaces (such as center panels on 5 piece doors) – so parts leave clean and ready to move onto next process
